This Kanchipuram silk saree carries a yellow body patterned with checks and brocade, scattered with floral buttas in gold zari. The maroon contrast border draws the eye with elephant ambari motifs, while the rich traditional zari brocade pallu deepens the play of colour. The contrast border is woven using the korvai technique, where body and border are interlocked by hand on the loom for a clean, durable join.
